Tony Papp post modernist sterling silver/gold wash, brooch. C. 1980's. 2 3/8" in diameter. Well crafted. Strong three dimensional design. Very good vintage condition. Signed on verso. Tony Papp, son of Joseph Papp NYC. Studied at Parsons school of design. His work was exhibited in galleries in New York, Boston and Philadelphia. In 1986 he opened the Tony Papp Gallery in Trump Tower. He also taught at several art schools in the New York area. |
