Ronald Hayes Pearson, modernist sterling silver flatware for International silver. Circa 1959. Presented is a complete service for 14, consisting of 14 knives, 14 dinner forks, 14 salad forks, 14 soup spoons and 14 desert spoons. Ron Pearson 1924-1997, was a major figure in the American metalsmithing field creating jewelry and flatware as well as working on many institutional commissions. Pearson studied and taught at RIT. It was there in 1959, along with John Prip and Franz Wildenhain, that Shop One was born. It was the first retail outlet exclusively selling handcrafted work in Rochester, NY. |
