Contemporary one of a kind brooch designed and made by Lisa & Scott Cylinder, dated 2001. Titled, "Cardinal Cameo Brooch, w/Wheat". The materials used in making this brooch - 14KY Gold, Sterling Silver, Bakelite, Colored Silver Leaf. The pin is made of found objects, (vintage bakelite red domino pieces), hand cut and engraving giving the brooch a cameo finish, the back and the beak of the bird are fabricated from sterling silver and the wheat in the bird's beak is 14KY.
